I'm A Half!

Yes Max is A Half now! He turned 6 months on Friday. We spent a fun weekend with Grandma and Grandpa Glen in town. It was unseasonably cold here so we had to make an emergency run to Babies r Us to get some cool weather clothes - of course G&G hated that! So we bundled the boy up and headed over to the Dallas Arboretum. Even on such a grey and cool day, we had a great time snapping pix among the tons of pumpkins and gorgeous landscape. Mom and Dad can't wait to come back in the spring time when the blooms are out.

This one is actually highlighting Max in his sandals a few weeks ago. He had no idea what to make of those.

Hooray Max! Among the marigolds.

Pumpkins everywhere.

Max LOVES to bounce - just grab his hands and off he goes.

More marigolds.

That is one big pumpkin.

Max and Grandpa smiling at each other.

This is Max at supper time. It's hard to see in this pic, unless you click to enlarge, but do you see a second pair of eyes to his right?? Yep the Big Dog sits right next to him waiting for bites. It's pureed veggies Bruce, seriously? Yep, he always cleans up Max's face and bowl!

Max, yesterday on his way to school, sporting one of his new cool-weather outfits. And bouncing!

Go G-MEN!

My boys just before game time a couple weeks ago! My rockin' Giants are 4-0. What's that you say? The Cowboys? Oh, they're 2-2, at the bottom of the division. So sad! HA.

I'm 5 months old! And Baptized!

So Max turned 5 months old on September 9, Grandma Glen's birthday! He's still growing like crazy and lots of fun. We've really mastered eating cereal, though we had to move on from rice cereal to oatmeal banana. Can't blame him, that stuff tasted like paste. In another week or so we'll be onto real baby food! His tooth is coming in nicely and he continues to teethe quite a bit, so I think another is quickly behind it.

Max's Baptism was also last Sunday. It was a wonderful ceremony and it was terrific to have my folks and Godfather/Uncle Dino in town. Here are a few shots from the ceremony and party - sorry they're in backward order. Plus a couple of random cute shots at the end.

XOXO

Check out my fancy cake!

Proud parents and Godparents.

All dried off and feeling much better!

Yikes that's cold water!

I'm a shark! Peeking at Dad.

I LOVE bathtime!

Shot Day

So Max had his check up today. He is in great health thankfully, weighing in at 17 lbs. 2 oz and 26 inches. Both measurements are about the 80th percentile for his age. Still a big boy! We've given him rice cereal a few times now and he's enjoying it. And by enjoying I mean making squinchy faces! Here's a short video.

He also had his 4 month shots, which wasn't fun but he did ok. A little crying then he fell asleep in the car. And sure enough, that's a tooth I felt coming in, his bottom left. Doc said it's a little early for that but, you know, he's advanced. :)

A Milestone

So today I hit a new milestone...I showed up at work with a little Max poopy on my pant leg. Yep he had a blow out when he sat on my lap just before leaving the house this morning. I figured it was a rite of passage. I leave you with a shot of Bruce allowing Max as rider, go figure.
